Troop TX-1221 is grateful for the generous support of Grace Covenant Church. Their kindness in sharing their facilities and grounds each week makes it possible for us to serve and invest in the lives of the boys who gather each week.

The Woodlands Trail program is designed for young boys, typically ages 5–10, and is structured around three patrol levels—Foxes (ages 5‑6), Hawks (ages 7‑8), and Mountain Lions (ages 9‑10). At this stage, Trailmen begin to build foundational outdoor skills, character, and faith through hands‑on activities, group adventures, and simple leadership roles. They complete core badge work, earn branch advancements, and participate in fun, age‑appropriate service projects and camping outings. With caring adult mentors guiding them, Woodlands Trailmen grow in confidence, friendship, and biblical manhood, laying the groundwork for future leadership as they progress.

The Navigators program is designed for boys ages 11‑13 as they transition from the Woodlands Trail into a more robust phase of adventure, leadership, and character development. In this section, Trailmen pursue core skill Trail Badges such as First Aid, Outdoor Cooking, Ropework, Camping, and more, while also engaging in meaningful service, leadership roles, and outdoor expeditions. The program emphasizes growth in character, faith, stewardship, and practical skills as young men prepare to advance toward the Adventurers level.

The Adventurers program is tailored for young men ages 14–17 and focuses on deepening leadership, service, and spiritual maturity. Trailmen in this section pursue advanced Trail Badges such as Emergency Preparedness, Wilderness Survival, Citizenship, and Apologetics. They have opportunities to lead patrols, plan high-adventure outings, and serve as mentors to younger Trailmen. As they grow in character and responsibility, Adventurers work toward key milestones including the Journey Award, Horizon Award, and ultimately the Freedom Award—Trail Life’s highest honor. Guided by godly mentors, Adventurers are equipped to become courageous leaders who live out their faith with integrity and purpose.
